Running in 2011

Top of the hill

2011 – yet again I would like to become a little fitter. This means doing more exercise and maybe reducing the vast volume of food intake so that the running becomes easier if I lose some weight.

New Year 2011

The New Year came in quietly for us. We did stay up and watch some fireworks from the window.

Other December activities

Upper Loch Fyne - frozen across

The diary in December soon filled up with a variety of things. Christmas cards were late being sent - again!

Boat of Garten in December

Snow on trees at Loch Morlich

At the start of December I was co-tutoring a UKCC L2 course for aspirant orienteering coaches. Paul signed up for a first aid course at the Slochd so we decided to take another break at The Old Stable near to Boat of Garten.

November

The cogs

To sum up November – paint, paint, scrub, carpets, work.

October

Tinto Twin Day Finish

This is a reflective look back at October 2010, written at the start of January 2011. Why the delay? Well, life has been a bit busy and so other things have taken priority (that does sound a lot better than saying I’ve been lazy!).

This was a month of some time here and some time there. There was Boat of Garten, coaching and assessing orienteering – as well as having a break. Here was well, here – and painting.

The plasterer arrived on the 1st.

Deer at the house opposite

We had been speaking for some time – measure that in years – about having the ceilings redone. They had been badly artexed by the previous occupants, the taping of the plasterboard seams was starting to part company with the boards and generally things were looking tired and in need of being redone. We had been expecting the plasterer for about a month.
